Our doctors volunteer to participate in a program called InfantSee through the American Optometric Association. We offer babies 12 months or under a free eye exam to make sure there are no signs of pathology. This data (without the infant’s name) is sent to a large data collection center to create information on the frequency of problems like congenital cataracts and amblyopia (lazy eye).
An infant eye exam explores your baby's response to light and to acuity targets. We have an instrument for detecting the brain’s response to black and white stripes, allowing us to get an idea of the baby’s visual acuity.
