Behavioral Optometry: It’s About Listening to the Eyes
How can I see better? That’s the question people want answered when visiting an eye doctor. We ask why is the visual system behaving like this and what could make it better? Behavioral eye exams are different because we look at a patient’s vision under many conditions and measure the eye muscles’ ability under stress. Clear, single, binocular vision is our goal for each person.
Traditional and Holistic Care
A great pair of glasses is all some patients need to compensate for trouble with vision. Our optician takes the doctor’s prescription and the patient’s habits seriously. He uses the latest greatest plastics, coatings, colors, polarization and frame fitting to create personalized vision correction. This makes your glasses unique to your needs.
However, many of our patients want care that goes beyond compensating for blurry vision. They want to prevent their eyes from getting worse. They want to help their children to keep good vision. Some want to know how to treat red eyes without using drugs. For these patients we create care programs which range from simple eyelid cleansing to complex like a 6 month vision therapy program.
